JR oversees Hillwood's implementation of the protective covenant mechanisms by establishing a commercial association overlay across the various development areas within AllianceTexas and others to uphold quality construction, property beautification, and overall community longevity. These overlay areas encompass over 43 miles right-of-way, over 220 acres of common area, private rail lines, and a collective customer base of over 145 property owners.

In addition to his Association role, JR also serves as Director of Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) #196 at AllianceTexas on behalf of Alliance Corridor, Inc. Providing a direct benefit to nearby distribution and manufacturing companies to optimize their supply chain management by delivering duty and tax benefits and consultation services that are not available through any other mechanism. JR is a member of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones and the Texas Association of Foreign Trade Zones. The AllianceTexas FTZ program remains a foundational pillar in the region’s economic vitality.

Finally, JR is a leader in various special projects at the Circle T Ranch in Westlake, Texas. One such project is the creation of a 230-acre nature preserve called Parkland Riparian, which will serve as the central common area amenity for future corporate office campuses on the Ranch. Riparian Park will have 150 acres of ecological restoration prairie seed pastures and over 12,000 planted trees, all irrigated by a complex water reuse system. The park will provide access connections via trails for walking and running and pavilions for scenic overlooks and bird watching.

A Fort Worth native, JR attended Texas A&M University, where he was in the Corps of Cadets and graduated magna cum laude while earning a Bachelor of Science in the School of Architecture. Immediately upon graduating from Texas A&M, JR worked in custom home building for two years before joining Hillwood full-time. JR is an avid traveler, often leading short-term mission trips overseas with friends and family, where he serves on the board of refugee orphanages in the Middle East.
