Foreign-Trade Zone #196 + Triple Freeport Inventory Tax Exemption:
To facilitate better supply-chain management, AllianceTexas’ Foreign-Trade Zone #196 delivers duty and tax benefits and consultation services* that are not available through any other mechanism, reducing costs and streamlining customs clearance. At Alliance, all three taxing entities, city, county, and school district have enacted the Freeport Tax Exemption on all eligible inventory. This exemption applies to inventory that is forwarded out of Texas within 175 days of the date acquired or brought into the state.
