Alliance Connector Project

This Alliance Connector Project is a critical component to the continued growth and economic development of AllianceTexas, ensuring that the North Texas region will remain one of the leading economic engines in the state and nation.  Three years of simultaneous construction on three separate highway expansion projects will result in more reliable and affordable connections to employment, education, healthcare and other essential services for local citizens.  Globally, these projects will facilitate the efficient and safe movement of industrial freight and people through the region, state of Texas and nation.

Construction on I-35W Segment 3C began in 2020 and opened three months ahead of schedule in June 2023.

State Highway 170 main lanes opened to the public in March 2024 which included four main lanes stretching from I-35W to State Highway 114. In partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation and Regional Transportation Council, construction on the new lanes used the existing frontage lanes minimizing costs and disruptions. Watch this 30-year vision become reality.

Haslet Parkway, west of I-35W, is led by COG and the City of Haslet. The first construction phase has been completed, with the additional roadway extension estimated for completion in late 2025.
