"When we prepare for the next phase of AllianceTexas, we’ll be looking back over the last 30 years to get a glimpse of what we’ve done in an effort to develop appropriate strategies that allow us to provide for a world class workforce."

Beginning his career with Hillwood in 1990 at the Alliance Airport, Tom helped lead the effort to establish the airport’s fixed base operation and airport management companies. In 2000 as the SVP of Operations, Tom directed many of the real estate operating units at Alliance. Subsequently in 2011, he moved into the president role of the Alliance Aviation companies during the airport's significant growth in business. In 2021, Tom also launched the Alliance Landscape Company to provide high-quality landscape and irrigation solutions to AllianceTexas customers. Most recently, Tom was elected as Chair on the Fort Worth Mayor's Council on Education and Workforce Development to better link the business community with education institutions throughout Fort Worth in order to increase career readiness.

Tom and his wife Ellen are co-founders of the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds for depression research efforts, advocates on behalf of families who have lost loved ones to suicide and facilitates suicide prevention programs for children and adults throughout North Texas. Tom sits on a number of non-profit boards in the community supporting education and workforce development efforts.
