Chris is a seasoned real estate professional with over 25 years of diverse commercial real estate experience, including development, capital markets, asset management, and underwriting. 

Immediately before Hillwood, Chris was a Vice President with Capital One Bank, responsible for managing over $1 billion in commercial real estate loans, including over $750 million in committed construction loans. He was previously a founding member and vice president of a national student housing development, general contracting, and property management firm. His responsibilities included structuring equity and debt, asset management, coordination of development/construction, and general day-to-day operations of the firm. Chris has also served in various real estate-related roles with JPI Development, Centerline Capital, and ORIX Capital Markets. 

Chris once served as the graduate assistant to the Texas Real Estate Center’s Chief Economist. He serves on the Advisory Board to the Master of Real Estate program at the Texas A&M University – Mays Business School. He is a long-term member and former state-wide Aggie Real Estate Network president. Chris is also an active member of the National Multi-Housing Council.
