Cara brings a wealth of experience to her role at Hillwood, with a strong background in multifamily operations and property management spanning over a decade. Her diverse expertise encompasses various asset types, including Class A properties, conventional garden-style, mid-rise, and high-rise buildings, specializing in lease-up assets. Additionally, she has expertise in managing income-restricted properties and has been involved in acquisitions and dispositions for owner-managed and fee-managed assets.

A native of North Texas, Cara pursued her education at The University of Texas at Arlington, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. She is deeply involved in the local community and industry associations, holding positions on the Fort Worth Apartment Association Board of Directors and the FWAA Education Foundation Board of Directors. She will chair the industry’s annual Business Exchange this year, showcasing her commitment to advancing industry connections and knowledge-sharing. Notably, industry peers recognized her as the FWAA 2024 Executive of the Year.

Furthermore, Cara maintains an active membership with the National Multi-Family Housing Council, underscoring her dedication to staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. Outside of her professional endeavors, Cara prioritizes family life, residing in Northlake, Texas, with her husband Justin and their two children, Brooks and Blair.
