A Top Aviation Destination. Global aviation leader Embraer will expand its operations to include an investment of up to $70 million in its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services network at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The investment is a partnership between the City of Fort Worth, Denton County and the State of Texas. Operations are slated to kick off in the second quarter of 2025 at an existing hanger at Perot Field and will support Embraer’s growing fleet of E-Jets.

North Texas’ central location in the U.S. will increase Embraer’s service capacity by 53%, allowing it to serve more E-Jets customers and create approximately 250 new aviation jobs in Texas. The new Fort Worth service center adds to Embraer’s global network, which includes 80 authorized centers and 12 owned service centers worldwide.

A pioneering aerospace corporation specializing in advanced vertical lift technology solutions, AVX Aircraft Company recently celebrated its grand opening at Perot Field. The company’s new headquarters, which includes a 7,000-square-foot prototype lab and testing space, is now home to 40 engineers and professionals dedicated to expanding and testing unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for military and commercial applications.

Bill Burton, executive vice president of marketing and development at Hillwood, said regarding their opening, "AVX's focus on advancement in the aerospace sector makes it the perfect customer to establish a presence at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport and the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone."

Build It, and They Will Come. Southwire, a leading manufacturer of wire and cable used in the transmission and distribution of electricity, celebrated the grand opening of its newest customer service center located at Alliance Westport 25, Hillwood’s latest offering in next-generation logistics facilities within the Alliance Westport sector of AllianceTexas.

Southwire’s nearly 1.2 million square foot facility, originally a speculative industrial project, is responsible for distributing products for the company’s full suite of solutions, and the facility will employ 250 team members. Hillwood Chairman Ross Perot, Jr., noted of the opening, “We’ve owned this land for 30 years, and I can’t think of a better client to have on it than Southwire. We look forward to Southwire growing with us.”

Recently announced, neighboring Alliance Westport 14 and 24, speculative industrial projects, are both currently under construction. They are an integral part of Hillwood’s strategy to continually have ready-to-occupy Class A industrial options of all sizes for new and existing customers at AllianceTexas.
