Joining the roster of innovators in the AllainceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone is Torc. An independent subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG and a pioneer in commercializing self-driving vehicle technology, Torc recently signed a lease for its autonomous truck hub and office space in AllianceTexas.

Torc’s presence will further drive innovation, enhance connectivity, and provide significant value to customers as the Hillwood team continues to work toward a more efficient and connected future in logistics. The site will provide a customer experience center, offices, and a dedicated control center for fleet management and operations.

Ian Kinne, director of logistics innovation at Hillwood, recently said of Torc joining AllianceTexas, "Welcoming Torc highlights Hillwood’s commitment to fostering mobility innovation and building a more resilient supply chain ecosystem with industry-leading technology, reliable infrastructure, and forward-thinking customers. The strategic location of this hub along the critical freight corridor of Interstate 35 is a testament to some of the unique advantages of AllianceTexas.”

Torc’s expansion positions it ideally for the next phase of autonomous driving and all the advantages that come with proximity to the primary freight route connecting Texas and Mexico along Interstate 35.
