Tom Thumb Breaks Ground at Harvest Town Center in Argyle

Argyle, one of North Texas’ fastest-growing communities, recently added its first full-service grocery store, Tom Thumb, in partnership with Hillwood.

In January, Tom Thumb leadership team joined executives from Hillwood and Ridgemont Co. to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new 63,000-square-foot store that will anchor Harvest Town Center, a neighborhood hub featuring restaurants and retail services.

This highly anticipated Tom Thumb at 1046 Market Way will cater to the needs of nearby residents of Hillwood Communities' award-winning developments, Harvest and Pecan Square, as well as neighboring communities located in Justin, Northlake, Haslet, and Corral City. And yes, it will have an in-store Starbucks coffee kiosk, a Pharmacy drive-thru and Drive-Up-N-GoTM grocery pick-up!

“DFW is leading the nation as the fastest-growing metro area, which has prompted major retailers like Tom Thumb to expand their presence here,” noted Guy Grivas, vice president of retail at Hillwood, of the opening. “AllianceTexas is proud to play a significant role in this growth and success, and our prime location allows us to easily welcome leading retailers like Tom Thumb for the area’s residents and workforce to enjoy.”

Currently open retailers include Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, and Chase Bank, with additional pad sites and leasing opportunities available within the 35-acre Harvest Town Center.

“Over the past few years, grocery-anchored neighborhood and community shopping centers —where consumers can fulfill multiple shopping needs in one convenient location — have dominated new retail construction projects in DFW, and we anticipate this trend will continue for the foreseeable future,” Grivas added.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Tom Thumb Foundation donated $10,000 to the Argyle Education Foundation. Construction on Tom Thumb is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2026.
