AllianceTexas reaches $130 Billion in Economic Impact for North Texas

AllianceTexas continues to serve as one of the nation’s most vital economic engines, and over the past 35 years, Hillwood’s 27,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use development in north Fort Worth has generated an estimated $130 billion in regional economic impact. More than $10.2 billion of this impact was created in 2024 alone, according to Insight Research Corporation’s annual economic impact report.

AllianceTexas’ Top 5 in 2024

1) Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) Grant: AllianceTexas secured an $80 million federal INFRA grant, a key part of a $262 million public-private partnership to enhance freight mobility and double inland port activity. This investment will accelerate rail infrastructure expansion and industrial development, strengthening North Texas’ role as a global logistics hub. The AllianceTexas Smart Port was the only project selected from Texas and one of just 44 awarded nationwide.
 

2) Landmark - A New Mixed-Use Destination: Hillwood broke ground on Landmark, a first-of-its-kind 3,200-acre mixed-use development in Denton. Developed in partnership with Hillwood Communities, Landmark will include 6,000 new homes, 5 million square feet of commercial and mixed-use space, 3,000+ multifamily units, a 1,100-acre green ecosystem with parks, trails, recreation, and S.T.E.A.M.-focused learning spaces. Strategically positioned along five miles of I-35W, Landmark is set to redefine modern community living with sustainability, innovation, and connectivity at its core.
 

3) Job Growth: Southwire, the largest manufacturer of wire and cable used in electricity transmission and distribution, opened its nearly 1.2 million-square-foot DFW Customer Service Center, employing 250 team members. Henry Schein, the world’s largest provider of healthcare solutions to office-based dental and medical practitioners, launched its largest single-building distribution center, bringing approximately 300 jobs to AllianceTexas.
 

4) Aerospace Industry Growth: Embraer announced an expansion that will create approximately 250 new aviation jobs while strengthening its support for E-Jets customers. AVX Aircraft Company established its new headquarters, featuring a 7,000-square-foot prototype lab to develop and test next-generation unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for both military and commercial applications.
 

5) Industrial Development & Expansion: Hillwood plans to deliver 3.5 million square feet of new industrial space to meet demand and provide new opportunities for logistics, manufacturing, and distribution companies. Currently under construction:
