Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport: New Look, New Name, New address
Over the past few months, there have been some big changes at the airport.
Hillwood, the City of Fort Worth and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officially recognized the airport’s name change to Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport during a special dedication ceremony in December. The program, which honored the life and memory of H. Ross Perot, Sr., featured special dignitaries, including the Honorable Mattie Parker, Mayor, City of Fort Worth; T. Allan McArtor, Former Federal Aviation Administration Administrator (FAA); Ignacio Flores, FAA Director of Airports – Southwest Region; Ross Perot, Jr., Chairman of Hillwood and The Perot Group; and Mike Berry, President of Hillwood.
In addition to Ross Perot, Jr., Mrs. Margot Perot and the entire Perot family were in attendance for the special day, along with more than 400 business, civic and community leaders, as well as Hillwood and Perot Group associates.
“My dad wholeheartedly believed Fort Worth Alliance Airport would be the centerpiece of an unprecedented jobs corridor in Texas,” said Ross Perot Jr. “Investing in the northwest corner of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex mattered to him, and he immediately saw its potential. The airport became the catalyst for one of the great Texas business stories of our day, and we’re only halfway through. Development at AllianceTexas will continue on for at least another generation, which will help to ensure a future for our children and hopefully their children, too.” View the Perot Field Dedication video.
Hillwood’s Alliance Aviation Services hosted a second event — a ribbon-cutting for the new fixed-based operation (FBO) facility — in February. Designed by Corgan Architects and Amaze Design, the FBO space encompasses more than 20,000 square feet of highly amenitized lounges and meeting facilities along with an additional 68,000 square feet of attached hangar space.
"The new FBO at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport uniquely positions us for the growing demand for an elite, private flying experience," said Christian Childs, president of Alliance Aviation Companies at Hillwood. "Pilots and passengers have access to expanded amenities and the highest level of customer service they've become accustomed to over the years.”
Alliance Aviation Services now has six hangars totaling approximately 200,000 square feet to support the growing fleet of based aircraft. Expanding upon the current FBO full-service offerings, the new space will allow for additional, first-class accommodations for flight crews, as well as more flexible, spacious lounges for pilots and passengers. Outdoor seating with ramp views has been integrated into the landscape as well. The new FBO is located at 13901 Aviator Way, Fort Worth, TX 76177.
