Embraer Reaches New Heights at Perot Field
Exciting things are taking off at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. Embraer celebrated a groundbreaking for its new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility for commercial jets, marking the start of a major expansion at the airport.
This milestone builds on Embraer’s partnership with the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas, which began in June when the company launched operations in an existing hangar. The new, state-of-the-art hangar is slated for completion by 2027.
Ross Perot Jr. commented on the groundbreaking saying, “Embraer’s investment represents the kind of partnership that defines Perot Field Alliance and North Texas. By aligning industry, government, and education around innovation, we’re building the infrastructure and talent base that will sustain the region’s aviation leadership for decades to come.”
What This Means for the Region:
- Expanded Capacity: Embraer’s new MRO facility will boost its ability to serve E-Jets customers in the U.S. by 53%.
- Significant Investment: Up to $70 million will go into the expansion, supporting nearly 250 new skilled aviation jobs in Texas.
- Global Network Integration: The Fort Worth service center will join Embraer’s worldwide network of more than 80 authorized service centers and 13 company-owned centers.
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker noted, “The airport continues to serve as a hub of innovation and economic opportunity, and Embraer’s expansion further strengthens Fort Worth’s position as a global leader in aviation and advanced manufacturing. This investment brings not only high-quality jobs but also highlights the strength of our business environment and the talent of our local workforce.”
With this expansion, Embraer is not just growing its footprint—it’s helping solidify North Texas as a global aviation hub.
