Mike Berry

President

Mike Berry is president of Hillwood, the developer of AllianceTexas. He leads strategic planning, new business development, acquisitions, and development initiatives at AllianceTexas and throughout North Texas, helping attract and support the next generation of innovative companies and industries. His customer-focused, entrepreneurial approach has helped establish AllianceTexas as a vertically integrated economic ecosystem and a destination for industry leaders. Under his leadership, AllianceTexas has become a major center for employment and industry within one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions, generating an economic impact of $142.9 billion and supporting continued growth across North Texas.

Beginning with the 1988 groundbreaking of Alliance Airport, Mike helped transform what was once raw ranch land north of Fort Worth into AllianceTexas, a 27,000-acre master-planned community and global logistics hub. Building on that legacy, he founded and leads the Mobility Innovation Zone, which leverages AllianceTexas infrastructure and resources to advance surface and air mobility technologies toward commercialization.

Mike also leads Hillwood Urban, which specializes in corporate office and mixed-use development, as well as investment and development opportunities throughout North Texas. His experience in master-planned development led to Hillwood’s partnership in Frisco Station, a 242-acre, high-density, mixed-use community along the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco, Texas.

Mike has received numerous honors throughout his career, including induction into the North Texas Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame and the Fort Worth Business Hall of Fame. His recognitions also include the Fort Worth Golden Deeds Award, the North Texas Commission’s Dan Petty Regional Visionary Award, the Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council Founders Award, the Fort Worth Sister Cities International Global Impact Award, and the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Boy Scouts of America. He was also named to the Dallas Business Journal’s 2025 Texas 100 list of influential professionals. Most recently, Mike and Hillwood Chairman Ross Perot Jr. were named Fort Worth Inc.’s Persons of the Year for their contributions to regional prosperity, innovation, and economic growth.

Outside of Hillwood, Mike is active in several professional and nonprofit organizations. He is a member of the Texas Christian University Board of Trustees and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Neeley School of Business. Mike chairs the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership and co-chairs the John Roach Roundtable. He also serves on the boards of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Safe City Fort Worth, and the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show. In addition, he is a sponsor of the Fort Worth Forum Board and a member of the Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council Founders Council.

Mike is a Fort Worth native and lives in his hometown with his wife, Marilyn. They have four married daughters and seven grandchildren.
