Serving as president of Hillwood Properties, Mike Berry leads development efforts for one of the most unique master-planned communities in the nation. The 17,000-acre AllianceTexas development is unparalleled in its vision of a dynamic and diversified community. The project’s foundation is an international trade and logistics complex, offering inland port transportation options via the world’s first 100% industrial airport, two north-south rail lines, BNSF’s fourth largest Intermodal yard and connecting state and interstate highways. Stemming from this strong commercial base are corporate campuses, office complexes, tech and data centers, destination retail and entertainment venues, residential housing, schools, churches and community shopping. In total, the development encompasses 28 million square feet, over 170 corporate residents, 27,000 employees and more than 6,000 single-family homes.

A Fort Worth native, Berry also serves as a community leader. He is the past Chairman of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He currently serves as a member of the Fort Worth Chamber Executive Committee, JP Morgan Chase Tarrant County Advisory Board, the International Board of Visitors of the MJ Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University, the UT - Real Estate Finance and Investment Center Advisory Board, Safe City Fort Worth, the Performing Arts Fort Worth Board of Directors, Community Foundation of North Texas and the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate.
Berry is an active member of several professional organizations, including membership in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Young Presidents’ Organization, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council and the TexasOne economic development program.
Berry graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in economics. He earned his MBA from Texas Christian University and completed extended education at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in the Advanced Management Development Program.
