Joe Schneider serves as vice president for Hillwood and is responsible for land and infrastructure planning, project feasibility management, entitlements and coordination with multiple governmental agencies. Schneider brings a wealth of knowledge in land development from his over 25 year career in the industry. He contributes a wide range of understanding for multiple projects, including industrial, commercial, office, corporate campuses, multi-family, retail, theme parks and more.

Schneider has worked with some of the nation’s leading companies and projects, such as Bell Helicopter, BlueCross BlueShield, Cabela’s, IDC, Chrysler Financial Services, Fidelity Investments, JCPenney and Vaquero by Discovery Land Company, in establishing their facilities and programs within the AllianceTexas development. Working hand in hand with customers, Schneider manages all land entitlements within city, county, state and federal requirements; obtains city approvals; coordinates infrastructure design and approvals; manages environmental compliance issues and administers infrastructure and site development construction projects to ensure a smooth transition process for customers into their new corporate residence at AllianceTexas.

Prior to joining Hillwood, Schneider worked for 16 years as a civil engineering consultant, primarily in municipal facilities and land development, in San Antonio, Houston and the Fort Worth / Dallas Metroplex.

Schneider is a current member and has held several offices in the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Metroport Rotary Club in Westlake, Texas. Additionally, he is chairman of the TRA’s Denton Creek Regional System Advisory Board, has served on several city and regional infrastructure advisory committees and is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He is a licensed professional engineer and licensed real estate broker for the state of Texas.

A 1984 graduate from Texas A&M, Schneider earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1992.
